The St. Louis Rams first round pick in the 2005 draft hasn’t lived up to expectations in his six-year career. He’s notorious for getting sloppy. This guy could be fantastic. Instead, he’s just a waste of potential.
Barron was called for three penalties last night against the Redskins. One of those penalties came at the end of the game that negated the Cowboys game-winning touchdown. Alex Barron was holding Redskins rookie defensive linebacker Brian Orakpo. Game over. Cowboys lose.
Barron can’t totally be blamed for the loss.. You can view the fumble right before halftime that the Redskins returned to go up 10-0 as the real killer. Tack on 12 penalties to that and you just can’t win games in the NFL making that many mistakes.
At least Barron got a vote of confidence from Jerry Jones.
