My Insane and Bold Prediction of the Week
Last week, I picked Tennessee to upset Oregon in Knoxville. Tennessee was in the game at halftime, but quickly found themselves down by 14 midway through the 3rd quarter. Oregon scored 35 unanswered in the 2nd half to roll over the Vols.
There are a few interesting options this week, but my goal is to find one that is off the wall — yet possible.
My Week 3 Upset Special:
Texas Tech upsets #6 Texas in Lubbock, giving Tommy Tuberville his first signature win with the Red Raiders.
- Spread: Texas -3, Texas Tech +3
- Over/Under: N/A
The Longhorns haven’t really dominated in true Longhorn fashion out of the gates. They continue to transition to a more physical approach and they have an inexperienced quarterback.
This will be the first test for both teams as neither have faced anyone worth writing home about. The Red Raiders offense is 11th in the nation in passing and 17th in the nation in scoring. The Longhorns offense hasn’t been flashy, but they’re still struggling to find their identity still and will be up against a hostile environment in Lubbock. Texas Tech won the last meeting when Texas visited and I’m sure most of you remember Crabtree making a last second catch to stun the Longhorns.
